2 Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 198 in Henderson County

2 Hospitalized after Henderson County Crash on State Highway 198 and Cherokee Shores Drive

Henderson County, Texas (April 21, 2023) – Two people were hospitalized after a Thursday night crash in Henderson County, according to a local news source.

The crash occurred on State Highway 198 and Cherokee Shores Drive on Thursday, April 20.

As per the report, two vehicles collided on State Highway 198 and Cherokee Shores Drive. One of the vehicles flipped onto its roof after the crash.

The driver of one vehicle reportedly fled the scene. The driver of the second car and the passenger were trapped in their overturned vehicle and were extricated by firefighters.

One person was transported to Baylor Dallas by EMS, and the second person was taken to UT Health in Tyler with another firefighter. They were both in critical condition.

No other details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
