1 Seriously Injured in Car Accident on Interstate 30 in Greenville
1 Hospitalized after Greenville Crash on Interstate 30 at FM 1565
Greenville, Texas (August 22, 2019) – One person was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Greenville Wednesday night, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash was reported at around 8:29 p.m. Wednesday, August 21 on Interstate 30 at F.M. 1565.
The DPS said a vehicle was broken down in the left lane with a flat tire. Traffic started to back up, and for an unknown reason, a Hyundai Elantra was hit from the behind by a Nissan Murano.
As a result of the collision, the Nissan driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected through the sunroof. He sustained major injuries and was taken to Hunt Regional.
No other details were immediately available, and the crash remains under investigation.
