15-Year-Old Seriously Injured in Early Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 183 near Heartland Mall; Abigayle Lynn Ryan Arrested

Early, Texas (April 21, 2021) – A 15-year-old girl was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Monday in Early, according to the police.

The accident occurred on April 19, on Highway 183 North at the Heartland Mall entrance.

Police said a Chevrolet Tahoe exited the mall parking lot at a high rate of speed and crashed into a northbound pickup truck occupied by a San Saba father and his daughter.

The Tahoe fled the scene after the crash.

The pickup driver was treated at the scene. His daughter was airlifted to Cooks Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth with serious injuries.

The Tahoe was later located at the OYO Hotel just a few miles away from the crash scene. The driver Abigayle Lynn Ryan, 21, of Brownwood, was arrested for an Accident involving personal injury, a 3rd-degree felony.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
