Bill Benham ID’d as Elderly Man Killed in Cochran County Car Crash on State Highway 125
Cochran County, Texas (January 15, 2019) – The man who was killed Friday night in a two-vehicle crash which left another person injured on a Cochran County highway has been identified as Bill Benham, 82 of Bledsoe, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The fatal collision happened at about 8:50 p.m. January 11, on State Highway 125, about 6 miles east of Bledsoe.
DPS said a 2015 Chevrolet Express van driven by Richard Sanchez, 43, of Albuquerque in New Mexico, veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2013 Ford F-150 truck driven by Benham.
Benham was killed in the crash.
Sanchez sustained incapacitating injuries in the crash.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
