2 Injured in Rhome Crash on U.S. 81/287 near County Road 4840
Rhome, Texas (February 24, 2019) – Two people were injured Wednesday evening in a traffic crash involving two vehicles in Rhome, according to a local news source.
The wreck, which was reported just after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, happened on U.S. 81/287 near County Road 4840.
Police said a Toyota passenger vehicle collided with a motorcycle for an undetermined reason on U.S. 81/287.
The motorcyclist and one person in the Toyota were both taken by Wise County EMS to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with unspecified injuries.
The crash caused the closure of the southbound lanes of U.S. 81/287 as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
