League City, Texas – Two people were injured on Saturday in a hit-and-run accident in League City, according to the police.

The crash happened around 4:05 a.m., April 13, at the intersection of W Main Street and Bay Area Boulevard.

Police said a 16-year-old was driving a Toyota sedan when he collided with a Ford pickup truck.

A 20-year-old passenger in the Toyota was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The Ford driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The 16-year-old fled the scene after the crash. Authorities contacted his parents and he was taken into custody after being treated for minor injuries at a hospital. He has been charged with Accident Involving Injury.

The crash remains under investigation.
