Two Critically Injured in San Antonio Multi-Vehicle Crash on NW Loop 410

San Antonio, Texas (March 27, 2023) – Two people were critically injured early Sunday morning in a multi-vehicle crash in San Antonio, according to the police.

The crash happened around 2:20 a.m., March 26, in the 6300 block of NW Loop 410.

Police said a 36-year-old man was driving a 2017 black Jaguar XE southbound on NW Loop on the number 4 lane. A black 2015 Chevrolet Camaro rear-ended the Jaguar, pushing it into a collapsible crash attenuator that divided the main lanes from the Ingram Road exit ramp.

The Camaro was redirected to the right and came to rest on the right shoulder of the main lanes, while the Jaguar was redirected to the left, and it came to a rest between the number 2 and number 3 lanes, facing oncoming traffic.

A red 2017 Toyota Rav4 then crashed into the driver’s side passenger door of the Jaguar. The Jaguar was ripped in half, leading the front half to be redirected into the center concrete median. The back half of the Jaguar was carried southbound by the Toyota until it came to a rest in lane number 1. The Toyota rotated before coming to a rest.

The Jaguar driver and his 29-year-old female passenger were taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The Jaguar driver and the Toyota driver were evaluated and determined to be intoxicated and were booked for Driving While Intoxicated.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
