2 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on US Highway 62/82 in Lubbock County

Two Injured in Lubbock County Two-Vehicle Crash on US Highway 62/82 at CR 1300

Lubbock County, Texas (October 29, 2022) – Two people were injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash outside of Wolfforth, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash was reported around 1:10 p.m., October 28, in the area of U.S. Highway 62/82 and County Road 1300.

DPS said a vehicle was heading southwest on the highway when it lost control, crossed the center median and hit a vehicle that was heading northeast.

One of the drivers was taken to University Medical Center with severe injuries, while the other was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

The crash closed the northeast traffic on US 62/82.

The crash remains under investigation.
