2 Killed, 3 Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 190 near Huntsville

Two Killed and Three Injured in Huntsville Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 190 near FM 2296

Huntsville, Texas (December 14, 2020) – Two people were killed, and three others were injured in a head-on collision Saturday evening near Huntsville, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened just after 6:00 p.m., December 12, on Highway 190 near FM 2296.

DPS said a Nissan SUV was traveling eastbound on the highway and was passing another vehicle when it collided head-on with a westbound Chevy Suburban.

The Nissan driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The front passenger of the Suburban was also killed in the crash.

The Suburban driver was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Two children in the Suburban were airlifted to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston with serious injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
