Two Killed and Four Injured in Leander Two-Vehicle Crash at Hero Way and 183A Toll Road Frontage Road

Leander, Texas (August 28, 2023) – Two people were killed, and four others were injured Saturday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Leander, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 11:30 a.m., August 26, at the intersection of Hero Way and 183A Toll Road Frontage Road.

Police said a silver SUV and a tan SUV pulling a trailer were involved in the crash.

The driver of the tan SUV fled the scene on foot, heading southbound on the 183A Toll Road, and the police are looking for them.

The driver and front seat passenger of the silver SUV were pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman and a man were taken to St. David’s Round Rock, and two others were taken to Dell Children’s Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
