2 Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Woodall Rogers Freeway in Dallas

Two Killed in Dallas Crash on Woodall Rogers Freeway at Allen Street

Dallas, Texas (May 30, 2022) – Two people were killed early Monday morning in a car crash near downtown Dallas, according to authorities.

At around 2:30 a.m., deputies responded to Woodall Rogers Freeway at Allen Street to investigate the report of a traffic collision.

Authorities said a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed in the westbound service lanes of the freeway when it clipped another car from behind.

The driver of the speeding vehicle reportedly lost control and crashed into the pier beam of the freeway.

A male and female occupants of the speeding vehicle died in the crash. Their names have not been released pending notification of their respective families.

Two people in the second vehicle were not injured.

No further details about the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
