Jacob Salinas Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash at Everhart and Holly Roads in Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi, Texas (April 10, 2019) – The young man who was killed in a three-vehicle crash early Sunday morning at a Corpus Christi intersection has been identified as 21-year-old Jacob Salinas, according to the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The fatal crash occurred at about 2:00 a.m. April 7, at the intersection of Everhart and Holly roads.
Police said a car was speeding when it ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into another car, causing it to spin out of control and hit a third vehicle.
The impact ejected Salinas who was driving one of the cars. He was declared dead at the scene.
Officers said speed, alcohol and failing to give the right of way were factors in the crash.
No further details were provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
