Two Killed in San Marcos Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35

San Marcos, Texas (February 9, 2021) – Two people were killed Sunday night in a fiery two-vehicle crash near San Marcos, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened at about 10:24 p.m., February 7, on Interstate 35, near mile marker 208, near the Texas Department of Public Safety weigh station.

Authorities said a 2014 Jeep crashed into the back of a trailer pulled by a semi-truck that was parked off the main lanes of the freeway.

The Jeep caught fire after the collision.

Both people in the Jeep were killed in the crash. The identities of the victims have not been released.

No other details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
