Two Killed in South Bexar County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 16 near Smith Road

Bexar County, Texas (November 28, 2023) – Two people were killed Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash in south Bexar County, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash happened around 5:30 p.m., November 27, on Highway 16 South near Smith Road.

Deputies said a vehicle was speeding when it struck another vehicle.

The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

The crash closed the northbound lanes of the highway.

The crash remains under investigation.
