Three Injured in San Antonio 18-Wheeler Crash on IH-35

San Antonio, Texas (June 11, 2022) – Three people were injured early Saturday morning in a semi-truck crash in San Antonio’s Northeast Side, according to the police.

The crash happened around 3:00 a.m., in the 6300 block of IH-35 North.

Police said a small black vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler on the access road. Both vehicles then struck a pedestrian who was walking along the sidewalk.

The force of the impact sent both vehicles off of the roadway into a wooden utility pole and through a concrete wall of a nearby hotel.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Two people in the sedan were taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The 18-wheeler driver was uninjured in the crash.

No one in the hotel was injured in the crash.

The sedan driver was evaluated for possible DWI.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
