3 Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 9 in Coryell County

Three Injured in Coryell County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 9

Coryell County, Texas – Three people were injured Saturday night in a head-on crash in Coryell County, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened around 11:55 p.m., March 2, on Highway 9.

DPS said a 24-year-old Killeen man was driving a 2012 Honda Scion passenger car eastbound while a 19-year-old man from Copperas Cove was driving a 2018 Audi passenger car westbound approaching the Honda.

The Honda driver failed to drive in his lane, crossed into the westbound lane, and crashed head-on into the Audi.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital with incapacitating injuries. They were believed to have been impaired. A 24-year-old woman in the Audi, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to Scott and White ER in Temple with incapacitating injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
