Man Hit by City Truck on Ayers Street in Corpus Christi

Man Critically Injured in Corpus Christi Pedestrian Accident at Horne Road and Ayers Street

Corpus Christi, Texas (October 19, 2023) – According to the police, a man in his late 60s was hit by a city truck Wednesday morning in Corpus Christi, according to the police.

The accident happened around 9:09 a.m., October 18, at the corner of Horne Road and Ayers Street.

Police said the city truck was traveling northbound in the 4000 block of Ayers Street in the left-hand lane when the man ran across the roadway, outside of a crosswalk, and was struck by the truck.

The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver stayed at the scene after the accident.

The police are investigating the crash.
