Sharon Williams Killed in Pampa Three-Vehicle Crash on SH 152 at CR 2

Pampa, Texas (November 24, 2020) – A woman was killed, and four other people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Saturday evening, west of Pampa, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 6:30 p.m., November 21, in the area of SH 152 and County Road 2.

DPS said a 16-year-old Pampa boy was driving a 2006 Ford Mustang eastbound on SH 152 while Sharon Williams, 76, of Pampa, was driving a 2001 Dodge Caravan and was stopped on SH 152 facing eastbound, waiting to turn left onto CR 2. Gay Forsha, 56, of Borger, was driving a 2007 Buick Lucerne westbound on SH 152.

The Mustang driver was distracted and rear-ended the Caravan.

The force of the impact pushed the Caravan into the westbound lane, where it crashed head-on into the Buick.

The Buick then crashed into a utility pole, and it came to rest in the northbound ditch while the Caravan also came to rest in the northbound ditch.

The Mustang came to rest in the eastbound lane and caught fire.

Williams was taken to Northwest Texas Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he died on Sunday.

Forsha was taken to Pampa Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

A 13-year-old who was a passenger in the Caravan was taken to Pampa Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

A 9-year-old girl who was also a passenger in the Caravan was taken to Pampa Regional Medical Center, where she was treated and released. A 10-year-old was taken to Northwest Texas Hospital with serious injuries.

The Mustang driver was uninjured in the crash.

The Texas Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
