Two Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on East FM 1585 near Slaton

2 Injured in Slaton Two-Vehicle Crash on East FM 1585 near CR 2900

Slaton, Texas (November 7, 2019) – Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a wrong-way crash near Slaton, a local news source reported.

The collision took place around 3:30 p.m. on November 6, on East FM 1585 near CR 2900.

DPS said a pickup truck was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane on FM 1585 when it collided with an eastbound semi-truck.

The pickup driver was taken to UMC with serious injuries. The semi driver was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Traffic was detoured on East FM 1585, resulting in delays.

The crash remains under investigation.
