Pittsburg, Texas (May 6, 2020) – According to a local news source, two people were killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Pittsburg.

The fatal crash occurred around 12:37 p.m. May 5, on US 271.

According to the report, Marvin Hooper, 77, of Pittsburg was driving a 1997 Chevrolet SUV southbound on the highway when he crossed over into the northbound lane and hit a 2018 Toyota SUV driven by Darlette Nunley, 53, of Pittsburg.

Hooper and Nunley were killed in the crash.

A passenger in Hooper’s car was taken to UT Health with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
