One Killed in North Harris County Hit-and-Run Car Crash on Lauder Road

Harris County, Texas (January 4, 2020) – One person was killed Friday night in an alleged hit-and-run crash in north Harris County, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash occurred around 8:00 p.m. on January 3, in the 4700 block of Lauder Road.

Deputies said a black Chevrolet Tahoe was pulling out of a supermarket when it collided with a speeding silver truck.

The impact caused the Tahoe to roll into a ditch, ejecting the driver. The Tahoe driver was declared dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The truck fled the scene after the accident. The front bumper of the truck came off before the driver left the scene.

The authorities are looking for the suspect and the truck.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
