Woman Hospitalized after Mercedes Crash on North FM 491 Road
Mercedes, Texas (February 20, 2023) – A woman was critically injured after a car crashed into the back of a school bus early Monday morning in Mercedes, according to the Mercedes Police Department.
The crash happened at about 8:25 a.m. in the 2400 block of North FM 491 Road.
Authorities determined that a black Chevrolet Cruze rear-ended a school bus. The school bus was at a stop signaling to turn into school grounds when the crash occurred.
The woman driving the Chevrolet Cruze was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The school bus occupants were reported to have no life-threatening injuries.
Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
