Elizabeth Jimenez, Eden Archaga ID’d as 2 People Killed in Edinburg Crash on Interstate 69

Edinburg, Texas (August 24, 2022) – Authorities have identified the two people who were killed Sunday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Edinburg as Elizabeth Gonzalez Jimenez, 37, and Eden Alberis Romero Archaga, 30, both of San Juan.

The deadly crash happened at around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, August 21, in the 400 block of south Interstate 69.

Authorities said a dark gray Chrysler Crossfire, a Peterbilt big rig and a white Dodge Ram pick-up truck collided on the interstate. The Chrysler rolled over after the crash.

Two occupants of the Chrysler, now identified as Jimenez and Archaga, were pronounced dead at the scene.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
