One Injured in Temple Two-Vehicle Crash on 1-35 near Drive Time
Temple, Texas (May 30, 2019) – A woman was killed Tuesday morning in a fiery two-vehicle crash in Temple, according to a local news source.
The crash happened on Tuesday, May 28, on northbound Interstate 35 near Drive Time.
Officials said a deputy spotted a speeding vehicle with no license plate and followed it until he lost sight of it and called off the pursuit.
Moments later, the speeding vehicle crashed into another vehicle and caught fire. Two male suspects got out of the car and ran into a field, but were caught and taken into custody.
The woman who was driving the second vehicle was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple with minor injuries.
The suspect’s vehicles had reportedly been stolen out of Austin.
The crash remains under investigation.
