Man Killed in San Antonio Bicycle Crash on Potranco Road near Sundance Crest

San Antonio, Texas (June 7, 2022) – A man was killed early Tuesday morning in a bicycle accident in San Antonio, according to the deputies.

The deadly accident happened around 12:30 a.m. on Potranco Road near Sundance Crest.

Deputies said the man was crossing the street from the main entrance to a subdivision on the part of a sidewalk when he crossed in front of a westbound Jeep and was hit.

The Jeep driver swerved to avoid hitting the man and went up onto the curb and into a grassy area. The Jeep struck the center median and flipped before coming to rest on the shoulder.

The bicyclist was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

The Jeep driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
