Two Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on SE Military Drive

San Antonio, Texas (August 20, 2020) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in San Antonio, according to police.

The crash happened on August 18, in the 1700 block of SE Military Drive.

Police said a driver became distracted, failed to notice that the driver in front of them was coming to a stop and crashed into that car.

The impact caused the driver’s airbag to deploy. The driver then veered to the right, jumped a curb, hit the metal guardrail of the bridge, and drove through the guardrail. The vehicle fell from the top of the bridge into the bank of the San Antonio River below.

The vehicle came to a rest on its rooftop, partially submerged in the water.

Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
