Erin Novak Killed in Car Crash on Highway 6 in Robertson County

Erin Novak Killed in Robertson County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 6

Robertson County, Texas (October 14, 2020) – Two people were killed in a fiery two-vehicle crash on Friday in Robertson County, near the Brazos County line, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened on October 9, on northbound Highway 6.

DPS said Michael Cox, 46, of Marquez, was driving at a high rate of speed when he attempted to pass other vehicles and lost control of his car. He then veered into oncoming traffic and crashed into a car driven by Erin Novak, 25, of Houston.

Both Cox and Novak were declared dead at the scene.

The crash closed Highway 6, causing traffic backups for hours near Campbell’s Creek.

The crash remains under investigation.
