Cesar Galvan Airlifted after 2-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 287 in Polk County

Cesar Galvan Injured in Polk County Car Accident on U.S. Highway 287 near Corrigan
Polk County, Texas (March 7, 2019) – A 22-year-old man was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a traffic crash in Polk County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash happened at around 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 5 on U.S. Highway 287 approximately two miles east of Corrigan.
The DPS said Cesar Galvan, of Jasper, was driving a 2005 Nissan passenger car southbound on Highway 287 when he struck the back-left portion of a semi-trailer rig that was hauled by a 2004 Volvo truck tractor.
Galvan sustained unspecified injuries and was airlifted to a Conroe hospital. The driver of the Volvo, a 56-year-old Kingsland man, was unhurt in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
