One Killed in Zapata Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 83

Zapata, Texas (September 3, 2021) – According to the Texas DPS, one person was killed on Friday in a two-vehicle crash four miles north of Zapata.

The fatal crash happened on Highway 83.

DPS said two vehicles were involved in the collision.

One person was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The crash closed both lanes of the highway.

The crash remains under investigation.
