3 Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 82 in Port Arthur

Three Killed in Port Arthur Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 82 near Valero Refinery

Port Arthur, Texas (May 21, 2021) – Three people were killed and another was injured Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash in Port Arthur, according to the Port Arthur Police Department.

The fatal crash happened around 7:35 p.m., May 20, in the 2600 block of Highway 82.

Police said a Dodge truck was traveling northbound on the highway when it crossed over into southbound traffic and crashed into a passenger vehicle.

Three of the four people in the Dodge were killed in the crash. Their identities have not been released.

The Dodge driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment. A blood search warrant was issued to determine if he was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
