35-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Multi-Vehicle Crash on Northwest Freeway at Bingle Road

Houston, Texas (September 3, 2023) – A 35-year-old man was killed, and several other people were injured Sunday morning in a multi-vehicle crash in Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 9:15 a.m., August 27, in the 12400 block of Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) service road at the intersection of Bingle Road.

Police said a purple Infiniti G35 was traveling southbound on the service road while a silver Toyota Tacoma was traveling southbound in the 4900 block of Bingle Road and was stopped at a red light at the intersection. As the Toyota entered the intersection, it was struck by the Infiniti.

The force of the impact caused both vehicles to hit a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a blue Nissan Versa, which were stopped at the light.

The Infinity then rolled over, struck a curb, and then struck a Chevrolet Camaro, a Honda Accord, and a Chevrolet Corvette, which were unoccupied.

The man, who was a passenger in the Infinity, was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead on August 31. His name has not been released.

The Infinity driver, a 19-year-old male, was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The male driver, 61, and female driver, 45, of the other two vehicles were taken to a local hospital in unknown conditions.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
