Four Killed and Two Injured in Amarillo Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 335 near Broadway Drive

Amarillo, Texas (December 23, 2021) – Four people were killed, and two others were injured Wednesday night in a wrong-way crash in Amarillo, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 7:30 p.m., December 22, on Loop 335 near Broadway Drive.

Police said a truck was traveling on the wrong side of the roadway when it crashed head-on into a sedan occupied by five people.

The force of the impact caused the truck to flip on its side.

Four people were killed in the crash.

Two other people were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators said intoxication was a possible factor in the crash.

The crash closed the westbound lane, and the eastbound lane was down to one lane.

The police are investigating the crash.
