5-Year-Old Girl Seriously Injured in Harris County Pedestrian Accident on Gears Road near Trickey Road

Harris County, Texas (June 4, 2023) – A 5-year-old girl was seriously injured Saturday evening in a hit-and-run accident in north Harris County, according to officials.

The accident happened on June 3, in the 1499 block of 

Gears Road near Trickey Road.

Officials said the girl was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. 

The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The vehicle was later found, but no one was inside.

The accident closed all the eastbound lanes near Trickey.

The deputies are investigating the crash.
