San Antonio, Texas (July 12, 2023) – The Bezar County Medical Examiner has identified the driver who died following a traffic accident early Saturday morning in San Antonio as Ricardo Garcia, 61.T

The deadly crash happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. Saturday, July 9 in the 2500 block of Interstate Highway 37.u

Authorities said a vehicle, driven by John Reyes, 31, crashed into the back of a truck, driven by Garcia.

Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene.Reyes did stop to render aid to Garcia and fled the scene.

Reyes was later arrested for failure to stop and render aid causing death.

The crash remains under investigation.
