12-Year-Old Girl Killed in Southlake Bicycle Accident on Davis Boulevard near West Southlake Boulevard

Southlake, Texas (August 4, 2023) – According to officials, a 12-year-old girl was killed Thursday morning in a bicycle accident in Southlake.

The deadly accident happened around 9:30 a.m., August 3, in the 100 block of Davis Boulevard, near the intersection with West Southlake Boulevard near Randol Mill Avenue.

Officials said a white Chevy pickup was traveling northbound as the child rode her bike also northbound on an adjacent sidewalk. As the truck turned right into a private drive, it collided with the cyclist.

The child was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine, where she later died. Her name has not been released.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
