Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on Brittmoore Road in Houston; Jose Carcamo Arrested

27-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Hit-and-Run on Brittmoore Road; Jose Carcamo Arrested

Houston, Texas (May 12, 2023) – A 27-year-old man was killed early Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 3:40 a.m., May 10, in the 2100 block of Brittmoore Road.

Police said the man was possibly crossing the street when he was struck by a red Nissan Frontier driven by Jose Ricardo Carcamo, 57.

Carcamo fled the scene after the accident. 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Carcamo was later arrested at a business in the 5500 block of Brittmoore Road. He was questioned, taken into custody, and charged with failure to stop and render aid – causing death.

The police are investigating the crash.
