Six Injured in Benbrook Four-Vehicle Crash on Southwest Loop 820

Benbrook, Texas (July 22, 2022) – Six people were injured Friday morning in a wrong-way crash in Benbrook, according to the authorities.

The crash happened around 5:35 a.m., on Southwest Loop 820.

Authorities said a 19-year-old was driving a 2013 Honda Accord eastbound in the westbound lanes of the highway when he collided with three other vehicles.

Six people sustained injuries in the crash. Two of the six people, along with the wrong-way driver, were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Officers said alcohol might have been a factor in the crash.

The wrong-way driver, who is from Arlington, is facing a driving while intoxicated charge after he is released from the hospital.

The police are investigating the crash.
