Abdi Faisal Killed in Carson County 18-Wheeler Crash on Interstate 40

Carson County, Texas – One person was killed on Christmas Day in an 18-wheeler crash in Carson County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 5:20 p.m., on December 25, on Interstate 40, half a mile west of Groom.

DPS said a big rig veered off the interstate and hit the back of another 18-wheeler that was stopped on the shoulder.

Abdi Faisal, 29, of Stone Mountain, Georgia was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver was uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
