David Reyes Killed in Hit-and-Run on FM 2221 in Mission

David Reyes Killed in Mission Motorcycle Crash on FM 2221 at Brushline Road

Mission, Texas (July 12, 2022) – According to the Texas DPS, a motorcyclist was killed on Sunday in a hit-and-run accident north of Mission.

The fatal crash happened around 8:00 p.m., July 10, in the area of FM 2221 and Brushline Road.

DPS said a black Chrysler 300 collided with a Honda motorcycle and then fled the scene heading southbound on Brushline Road.

The motorcyclist, David Lee Reyes, 25, of Mission, was taken to Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance, where he later died.

The authorities are looking for the Chrysler, which has damage to its rear right door and rear right quarter area.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with any information about the whereabouts of the Chrysler or driver is asked to contact the Weslaco DPS office at 956-565-7600.
