Abraham Moreno Killed in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident on South Loop 289

Lubbock, Texas (January 11, 2020) – A pedestrian was fatally hit by two vehicles Friday morning in Lubbock, according to the police.

The accident was reported just before 1:18 a.m. January 10, in the 1900 block of South Loop 289.

Police said a vehicle was heading eastbound on the South Loop 289 access road when it hit Abraham Moreno, 35, in the center lane. The driver then fled the scene.

As Moreno was lying in the roadway, he was struck by a second vehicle. That driver stopped and called 911.

Moreno was killed in the crash.
