Three Injured in San Antonio 7-Vehicle Crash on De Zavala Road at Autumn Vista Street

San Antonio, Texas (November 5, 2020) – Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday evening in San Antonio’s Northwest Side, according to officials.

The crash happened on November 4, at the intersection of De Zavala Road and Autumn Vista Street.

Police said a black pickup truck was heading westbound on De Zavala Road when it swerved into three oncoming lanes of traffic.

According to witnesses, the pickup had been traveling on the wrong side of the roadway for over a quarter-mile away.

The pickup then crashed head-on into six other vehicles that were stopped at the intersection.

One of the drivers left the scene.

Three people were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Officers said a person is being investigated for driving under the influence.

An investigation is underway.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons for driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
