Airianna Martinez and Ulises Valentin Frausto Killed in San Angelo Two-Vehicle Crash on Houston Harte Expressway

San Angelo, Texas (December 17, 2019) – The two people who were killed early Sunday morning in a head-on crash in San Angelo have been identified as Airianna Martinez, 17, and Ulises Valentin Frausto, 21, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash occurred around 2:53 a.m. December 15, on Houston Harte Expressway near Furniture Row.

Police said Frausto was driving a black Chevrolet HHR the wrong way on the Houston Harte Expressway when he crashed head-on into an SUV driven by Martinez.

The impact caused the HHR to catch fire.

Both Martinez and Frausto were pronounced dead at the scene.

Martinez was a senior at Central High School and had recently been accepted to Angelo State University. She worked at Hidalgo’s West on Sherwood Way.

The crash remains under investigation.
