Alexis Ortiz Killed in Head-On Crash on Peavy Road in Dallas

20-Year-Old Alexis Ortiz Killed in Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash on Peavy Road

Dallas, Texas (March 16, 2020) – A man was killed Sunday morning in a head-on collision in Dallas, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 6:00 a.m. March 15, in the 2300 block of Peavy Road.

According to the authorities, 38-year-old Justin Williams was driving a truck northbound when he allegedly got lost and looked down at his phone for directions. Williams’ truck then drifted into the southbound lanes where it crashed head-on into a southbound Chevy Tahoe driven by 20-year-old Alexis Ortiz.

Ortiz was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.

Williams was uninjured in the crash. He was arrested for outstanding drug warrants. He is awaiting a Manslaughter charge in connection with the death of Ortiz.

The crash remains under investigation.
