Jaywalker Struck, Killed by Vehicle on Polk Street in Oak Cliff

Man Jaywalking Killed in Oak Cliff Pedestrian Accident on Polk Street at W. Kiest Boulevard

Oak Cliff, Texas (March 12, 2020) – A jaywalker was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday night in Oak Cliff, according to the police.

The fatal accident occurred around 8:37 p.m. on March 11, in the 3300 block of S. Polk Street at W. Kiest Boulevard.

According to the police, a man was jaywalking and was attempting to cross Polk Street from westbound to eastbound, outside of a crosswalk, when he was hit by a northbound vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver, a 44-year-old, stayed at the scene after the accident.

The Dallas Police Department is investigating the accident.
