Amber Canaday, 24, Killed in 2-Car Accident at 50th Street and Milwaukee Avenue in Lubbock

Amber Canaday ID’d as Victim of Fatal Lubbock Crash at 50th Street and Milwaukee Avenue
Lubbock, Texas (May 7, 2019) – Authorities have identified the young woman who was killed Monday afternoon in a traffic accident in west Lubbock.
Amber Canaday, 24, died in the crash that occurred at around 3:20 p.m. Monday, May 6 at 50th Street and Milwaukee Avenue.
According to the authorities, a Ford F-250 pickup truck was heading northbound when for an unknown reason it drifted into the center turn lane and collided head-on with a gray Ford Focus, driven by Amber Canaday, 24, who was southbound on Milwaukee Avenue and was stopped in the left-hand center turn lane to go west on 50th St.
Canaday was declared dead at the scene. The front passenger in the Focus sustained moderate injuries and was transported to UMC.
The driver of the Ford F-250 was unhurt.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
