Angel Rico DeLeon Among 3 Killed in Ector County Crash at Highway 302 and FM 1936

Ector County, Texas (July 13, 2022) – Angel A. Rico DeLeon, 27, of Big Lake, Texas, was among three people who died following a two-vehicle collision on Monday night at an intersection in Ector County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The deadly crash happened on July 11, at the intersection of Highway 302 and FM 1936.

DPS said Adan Castillo-Venzor, 26, of Wichita, Kansas, was driving a 2017 Ford F-350 northbound on FM 1936 while Keethan James Gould, 40, of Farmington, New Mexico, was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu westbound on State Highway 302.

Castillo-Venzor failed to yield the right of way at a yield sign and Gould’s car struck his truck.

Gould and his two passengers, Rico DeLeon and David Saenz-Cera, 35, of Dumas, Texas, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Castillo-Venzor and his passenger, Israel Gonzalez-Nunez, 40, of Seminole, Texas, were transported to Medical Center Hospital, where they are in stable condition.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
