At Least Six People Injured in Humble Crash on Eastex Freeway near Rankin Road

Humble, Texas (August 15, 2022) – At least six people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Humble Sunday morning, according to the Humble Police Department.

The wreck occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. Sunday, August 14, on the Eastex Freeway near Rankin Road.

Authorities said a big rig and at least four other vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of the Eastex Freeway.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated one person who was trapped inside their vehicle.

At least six patients were transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Police temporarily closed the southbound lanes of the freeway for over three hours as they investigated the crash.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
