Larry Gale Hickey Killed in Abilene Pedestrian Accident at South 1st Street and Leggett Drive

Abilene, Texas (January 27, 2021) – The pedestrian who was fatally hit by a vehicle on Saturday in Abilene has been identified as Larry Gale Hickey, 57, of Abilene, according to police.

The deadly accident happened on January 23, in the area of South 1st Street and Leggett Drive.

Police said Hickey was attempting to cross the street and was wearing dark clothing when he was struck by an eastbound Mitsubishi Galant.

Hickey was killed in the crash.

The Galant driver remained at the scene after the accident.

The police are investigating the crash.
