Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on Esperanza Road in Dallas

Person Killed in Dallas Pedestrian Accident on Esperanza Road

Dallas, Texas (July 10, 2022) – A pedestrian died after being struck Friday night by a hit-and-run driver in Dallas, according to the Dallas Police Department.

The fatal pedestrian crash occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 8, in the 13400 block of Esperanza Road.

Police said an SUV hit the pedestrian under unclear circumstances on the roadway.

The pedestrian died in the crash. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the SUV did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or driver.

Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts is urged to contact the authorities at (214) 671-0011.
