Jeffrey Dale Jones Killed, Christopher Lee Bundrant Injured in Winona Two-Vehicle Crash on SH-155

Winona, Texas (October 15, 2020) – One person was killed, and another was injured Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Winona, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 7:30 a.m., October 14, on SH-155.

DPS said Jeffrey Dale Jones, 36, of Larue, was driving a 2012 GMC Acadia southbound on the highway when he veered into the northbound lane and crashed into a 2011 Cub Cadet Flatbed truck driven by Christopher Lee Bundrant, 43, of Quitman.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bundrant was taken to UT-Health- Tyler in serious condition.

The crash closed the northbound and southbound lanes of the highway.

The crash remains under investigation.
